Introduce Yourself

Hey all,
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say hello. I'm a big tech enthusiast and I'm looking forward to chatting with you guys about the latest builds and software. See you around the forums!

Hi everyone, I joined the forum today and I hope to help everyone and be helped when needed. I've worked in IT for over 20 years and even with my knowledge, it's always good to learn new things here every day. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm a Windows 11 Pro version 25H2 user with numerous issues. I'm retired, live in Moncks Corner, SC and thought I would try out this forum in hopes of solving some of these issues created after the update to version 25H2.

Hello ya'll. I am overwhelmed and trying not to react over this laptop of mine. I think it has cooties but I'm not totally sure. Other than that... I am doing great and hope everyone else is as well. Oh and a little about me is that I don't know a crap ton about computers and the like, but I can do some of the basics. At least I used to be able to. It's been years since I have been to the other side of the programs. I am in my mid 40's, I've worked as a technician for the last 30 years and my body is hating me. I'm 5'2", 112 lbs soaking wet, and as you've likely guessed... not very muscular. Not even after 30 years of this stuff. Anyways, I have 4 children, 2 are now adults and 2 teenagers. I'm trying to get a business going, making custom products for individuals and businesses. With this, I have to use my computer to use some programs such as windows, photoshop, illustrator, chrome, etc. So that's what led me here. I am trying to figure out what is going on with my laptop...outdated or cooties. Thanks for getting to know me and why I'm here. Hope all are well and safe.

Hi, folks. I’ve been using WIndows on/off since about 1988.
(Yes, I’m really old. But younger than dirt. And dinosaurs.)

I’m currently using OneDrive to keep my lifetime of files secure.
I have about 25,000 files, which I’m aiming to organize
for my use and for posterity—personal history, you know. I’ll also
incorporate 100s of files from iCloud and Google Drive as well.
It’s a daunting task, I know. But I have stayed pretty organized
over the years by using hierarchical directories and file names
to group and label my content.

I will be asking several questions to find out more about
what apps & methods people use to manage and archive
their file collections—online and offline.
Thanks in advance!

(I moved my question about AV scans to another spot.
Didn’t seem appropriate here, and hadn’t gotten any replies.)
