Javascript links in web pages do not work in my Win7. I click on the link and nothing happens. I'm on a Toshiba M500 Satellite laptop.
Everything else works fine.
All Win7 updates are routinely installed automatically, so the OS is up-to-date.
How do I fix that?

Solution
If JavaScript links on web pages are not working in your Windows 7 system, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem: 1. Update Your Browser: - Ensure that your web browser is up-to-date. Outdated browsers may not properly handle JavaScript functions. 2. Enable JavaScript in Your Browser: - Check if JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings. Here's how to enable JavaScript in some common browsers: - Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > JavaScript. - Mozilla Firefox: Options > Content. - Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom Level button > Scripting section. 3...

Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: - Clearing the cache and cookies in your browser can sometimes resolve issues with loading web pages correctly. 4. Disable Browser Add-ons and Extensions: - Temporarily disable any browser add-ons or extensions that might be interfering with JavaScript functions. 5. Check Security Software: - Your security software, such as antivirus programs or firewalls, may be blocking JavaScript. Temporarily disable them to see if that resolves the issue. 6. Try a Different Browser: - If the issue persists, try accessing the same websites with a different browser to see if the problem is browser-specific. 7. Check for Windows Updates: - Even though your Windows 7 system is set to update automatically, it's good to manually check for any pending updates. 8. Reset Internet Explorer Settings: - If you are using Internet Explorer, you can try resetting the browser settings to default. - Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Reset button. 9. Run a Windows Update Troubleshooter: - Windows includes troubleshooters that can automatically fix some common issues. You can access these by going to Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all. 10. Check for Malware: - Run a full system scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware that might be causing the issue. By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and potentially fix the issue with JavaScript links not working in your Windows 7 system on your Toshiba Satellite M500 laptop.
