I recently decided to switch my win10 from german (im from germany) to english bc i generally have everything in english anyways and i find it to be a better experience.
So i installed the US English language pack, deleted the german one and set a QWERTZ keyboard layout for the US pack (QWERTY is the standart, but im used to QWERTZ)
Since then, every time i restarted my pc it kept changing the keyboard layout back to QWERTY altho its not even installed

id love to make QWERTZ my standart and ONLY keyboard layout, but so far i havent found a solution.

i apprechiate all the help i can get

When faced with persistent keyboard layout changes after setting up a new language and keyboard layout on Windows, especially after system restarts, you can try various methods to enforce your preferred QWERTZ layout as the default and sole keyboard option. Here's how you can potentially resolve this issue:
  1. Check Language and Keyboard Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language. Ensure that only the English language pack with QWERTZ layout is installed. Remove any additional layouts or languages that might be causing conflicts.
    []Set Default Input Methods:
    • In the same settings window, click on the Language you are using. Choose Options and then under Keyboards add...

    ]Remove Unused Keyboard Layouts:
    • Open Control Panel > Clock and Region > Language. Click on Advanced settings on the left panel. Click the Override for Windows display language and set it to English with QWERTZ.
    []Check Registry Settings:
    • Incorrect registry entries can sometimes cause keyboard layout issues. Ensure that the following registry key has the correct settings:
      Code:
       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layouts
Verify that the QWERTZ layout is correctly configured.
    [
    ]Windows Update and Restart:
    • After applying the settings, reboot the system and check if the QWERTZ layout is retained. Sometimes, Windows may not save settings until the next restart.
    []System File Checker:
    • Run the System File Checker tool to ensure that no system files are corrupted. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run:
      Code:
       sfc /scannow
    [
    ]Language Troubleshooter:
    • Use the Windows Language Troubleshooter tool to scan for language-related issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot and run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be beneficial to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance or consider creating a new user account to see if the problem persists there, which could help isolate the issue.
