A friend wanted to send me a twitter thread - she right clicked on it and a menu came up "send to (my pc name)" -- does anyone know where that would end up on my pc? I thought maybe it would end up on my desktop but nothing arrived there. The only thing I can think is, I must need a twitter account to receive it - which I don't have and don't really want.
This is really just a curiosity question - thanks.

When your friend used the "send to (your PC name)" option, it was likely attempting to utilize a nearby device-sharing feature like "Nearby sharing" on Windows 10 to send the link directly to your PC. This feature allows sharing of links, files, and other content between devices on the same network. If it didn't arrive on your desktop, here are a few possible places it might be located: 1. Downloads Folder: Check your Downloads folder to see if the file was saved there. 2. Notification: Look for a notification or prompt on your PC that may provide options to open or save the file. 3. File Explorer: Sometimes the file might be saved in a general location within File Explorer. You could use the search option in File...

If you're unsure about where the file went, you could ask your friend to resend it, ensuring that you have the necessary settings configured on your PC to receive these shared items.
