Hi, I have been having an issue with the login screen on my computer. After pressing to remove the picture image the screen in which the password box would normally appear does not display.
This prevents me from logging onto the computer and essentially leaves me locked out.

I have not been able to boot in safe mode as for whatever reason it is being unfavourable however I have managed to perform a system restore to a time prior to the issue however that has not solved it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
If you get even get in through safe mode, it's most likely due to corruption in the system files. You can try and get into recovery mode or if your system doesn't have a recovery partition you can create a bootable recovery media from Windows computer and run either chkdsk /r /f C: or sfc /scannow and see if that will correct the issue. If not it's most likely going to be a re-install of Windows.
