Windows Vista Logitec mic not working

Hello there. I have a logitech 10 mic that is not working with vista. I tried downloading the 1st service pack, but I am not allowed to, due to region restrictions. I was wonderirng if there is anything else I can download to help with this. It is the audio that does not work only, the video does. Also, my stand up nexxtech mic does not work.

Have you checked that it's enabled in sound properties? Plus what do you mean about 'region restrictions' to do with the service pack?
