Windows 7 Loosing internet connection consistantly.

I recently moved into a new dorm and since then I've been having connection issues. The internet from the ethernet connection in the room drops out randomly. Ill begin loading a webpage and it will cut out half way in. Skype also looses connection, however windows still says that I'm connected to the internet. These connection drops last for a few minutes and occur frequently making getting anything done online difficult.

The only reason I'm posting here looking for a solution is that it only seems to occur on windows 7 (possibly other windows versions as well) but it does not occur when running Ubuntu. Does anybody know what i can do to fix this issue?

Look for the Windows 7 Tweaks under the "Broadband" section at the top of the web page.

Some of the tweaks are done through the "Command Window" or "cmd" and be sure to run it a an administrator.
