Does anyone know if the WLM 2011 email client works with the MS Office Mail Merge capability? I tried a test Mail Merge right up to the last step of sending the email messages I had created, but there didn't seem to be any link to WLM, and no messages were sent.

Jim, Windows Live Mail 2011 (WLM 2011) doesn't directly integrate with Microsoft Office's Mail Merge feature. However, you can set up the mail merge in Microsoft Word and then choose to send the emails through Windows Live Mail manually. Here's a general step-by-step guide on how you can achieve this: 1. Prepare Your Excel Spreadsheet: - Store all the email addresses and other merge fields in an Excel spreadsheet. 2. Mail Merge in Microsoft Word: - Open Microsoft Word and start the Mail Merge process. - Choose the type of document you want to create (Emails in this case). - Connect your Excel spreadsheet as your data source. 3. Insert Merge Fields: - Insert the merge fields where you want the personalized information...

Complete the Mail Merge: - Complete the merge process in Word and choose to send the emails as a separate document (not directly as emails). 5. Send Emails from Windows Live Mail: - Open Windows Live Mail. - Draft a new email and copy the content from the merged document. - Send the emails manually from Windows Live Mail. This workaround allows you to utilize Microsoft Word's Mail Merge functionality to personalize and create the email content, while you still have the flexibility to use Windows Live Mail for sending the emails. Remember that this process is a manual workaround and involves some additional steps compared to a seamless integration. It's always good to double-check the steps and ensure proper formatting and data sources are used to prevent any errors in the mail merge process. If you encounter any issues or need more detailed guidance on any specific step, feel free to ask for further assistance!
