Come April 14th, MS will release Win 8.1 Update 1 ISO to the general public.
I understand that a bootable USB drive can be created.
My questions is .................
For users like me who upgraded from older Windows version to Win 8, and to Win 8.1 via Windows Store, we do not have Win 8.1 product key, we have Win 8 key.
How do we use the bootable USB drive ?
Can we use it to re-install Win 8.1 ? If yes.........
.......will it re-install back to the specific Win 8.1 version we had before ?
ex. I have Win 8.1 Pro, will I get the Pro version upon re-install ?
.......will Win 8 product key be accepted during re-install ?

So far as I have found out through googling, using the bootable Win 8.1.Update1 iso flash drive will also require a Win 8.1 product key.
If so, it is useless to me and, I assume, to enormous number of Win 8.1 users.
I surely wish that is not the case.
