Windows Vista Media Center and other stuff gone from start menu After updtes

After doing my updates today on my Vista Ultimate machine my Media Center,DVD Maker, Media Player and other stuff has dissappeared from the start menu. Now i thought that something was bad wrong so i reloaded the OS and the stuff was there but after doing updates and a restart bam! it was all gone again. Can any of you gimme a idea how to fix this?

go to microsoft and download service pack 1
see if that corrects the problem
