Developers are constantly assessing different platforms to determine if they should spend the resources to support them with their apps and services. Windows 10 is a whole new unified direction which Microsoft is taking, and developers need to know how it will be different from previous versions of Windows and other platforms. This is the purpose of the Build conference held on April 29th-May 1st in San Francisco’s Moscone Center. Microsoft has just announced that registration for the event will open on January 22nd at 9:00AM PST (12:00 EST).

The event will be full of information to help developers fully understand how Windows 10 will work and what to expect. Microsoft has already dropped hints about development for Windows 10, saying if you want to develop for Windows 10 start with Universal Apps. Since Windows 10 is unifying their operating systems across phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, and Xbox Universal Apps will work on any device and scale to fit.
