Anybody recently taken Microsoft Update KB938194? I've heard it knocks out CD and DVD Drives and will even knock out the sound on Nero 7 players. An update is available that improves the compatibility and reliability of Windows Vista
Celestra I downloaded and installed that update last December 2007. Don't remember having any problems with it!!!!!!!!!Did it affect your rig???????????

I think I got that update maybe December or January. My sound didn't go out until the end of February or March. I think HP downloaded a correction before Microsoft. I do need the update, I have HDTV. Didn't know I could take a Blu-Ray though...... I just assumed the other computer manufacturers had made adjustments. I think computers without HDTV may still be hit with this. Remember that kid who had so much trouble with his Media Center, he wanted to switch to Nero 7? Just asking, because I still see current complaints on the Internet.
(Microsoft says that if I finish SP1 it'll fix my Schost) ?
Is this Schost as in Schost.exe?????..See

It could be that schost.exe is a virus, trojan, spyware, adware which you can remove, or a file belonging to a Windows system or an application you can trust.
Do you know which one it is?????????
