Windows 7 Multiple Display Problems

Hi Guys my first post here - hopefully I have put it in the right thread?

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 on my Sony VGN-Z11VN laptop. I did the upgrade whilst the laptop was in it's docking station.

Connected to the docking station was another monitor (HP L2245WG)

Once I completed all the updates ect.. I tried to setup multiple monitors, but each time I go to the display settings there are 4 "monitors" shown. The first on is named 2, the second one is named 1 and the other two have another display not connected written in them.

I have disconnected the leads from the docking station and re-started my laptop but they still appear.

What I am after is for my laptop to be monitor 1 and the HP screen to be monitor 2, so I can use duel monitors.

Could anyone advise me on how to resolve this problem please.
