My pc has got two monitors with a keyboard and a mouse where I have additional ones lying around. I thought it would be great if I could work on one monitor while my brother uses the other one.
I found softxpand on this site http://www.miniframe.com but the installation does not work, I already contacted the technical support but this will take a while to respond.
Does anybody know other solutions for this concern or even have experience with softxpand?
thanks and regards

To set up your system so that you can work on one monitor while allowing someone else to use the other monitor simultaneously, you can consider the following alternative solutions to SoftXpand: 1. Use Virtual Desktops: - Windows 10 has a built-in feature called "Virtual Desktops" that allows you to create separate desktop spaces. You can work on one virtual desktop while your brother works on the other. To access Virtual Desktops, press
Windows Key + Tab
and then click on "+ New Desktop" at the top left. 2. Third-Party Virtual Desktop Software: - Tools like Dexpot or Actual Multiple Monitors offer virtual desktop features. These programs allow you to create multiple virtual desktops, customize them, and switch between them easily. 3. Remote Desktop Software: - Programs like TeamViewer or AnyDesk enable remote access to your computer. You could work on your main monitor while your brother connects to the second monitor remotely. 4. User Account Switching: - Another option is to set up multiple user accounts on your PC. Your brother could use a separate user account on the second monitor while you work on your account on the main monitor. Use WinKey
+L
to switch between accounts quickly. 5. Dual Monitor Tools: - Tools like DisplayFusion or UltraMon allow you to manage multiple monitors effectively, but they may not provide simultaneous multi-user access like SoftXpand. These alternatives offer various ways to achieve a similar outcome to SoftXpand, allowing you and your brother to use different monitors or workspaces on the same computer simultaneously.Similar threads
