1. Corrupted Windows Media Player Settings:

2. Corrupted Windows Media Player Database:
- The media library database used by Windows Media Player might be corrupted.
- Rebuilding the media library can help in such cases. This will require Windows Media Player to rescan your computer for media files and recreate the library.

3. Third-Party Skins or Plugins:
- If you have installed third-party skins or plugins for Windows Media Player, they might be causing conflicts that prevent you from switching back to the full mode.
- Disable or uninstall any third-party skins or plugins to see if that resolves the issue.

4. Software Conflict:
- Other software installed on your computer could be conflicting with Windows Media Player, causing it to behave unexpectedly.
- Try closing any unnecessary programs and see if that helps in switching back to full mode.

5. System File Corruption:
- There could be system file corruption that is affecting the behavior of Windows Media Player.
- Running a system file checker scan (sfc /scannow) in Command Prompt with administrative privileges can help in repairing corrupted system files.

6. Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updating Windows can resolve bugs or issues with applications like Windows Media Player.

7. Reinstall Windows Media Player:
- As a last resort, you can uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player. This can often fix persistent issues with the program.

Try these steps to see if they resolve the issue of Windows Media Player being stuck in skin mode and unable to switch back to full mode. Let me know if you need more detailed steps on any of these solutions.
