I like to stream my music to my xbox360 just through the normal xbox interface. I hate going into media center so I usually just enable media sharing. But ever since I jumped onto the RTM build of windows 7 (previously BETA) all my sharing options are grayed out, can't select anything.
I jump into the media streaming options where you're supposed to have a list of devices you can share to but everything is blank and I can't save any changes in there. Then I jump into the homegroup sharing options and "share media with devices" option is also grayed out. I don't know what the heck is going on, if I look at the network map I can clearly see my xbox360 and PC on the same network but I can't get windows to share any media.

What's the deal?

Allow Windows Media Player through Windows Firewall: - Make sure that Windows Media Player is allowed through the Windows Firewall. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall. 5. Reset Media Sharing: - Try resetting the media sharing settings in Windows Media Player. You can do this by: - Open Windows Media Player. - Go to Stream > More streaming options.... - Click on 'Reset', and then try setting up media sharing again. 6. Update Network Drivers: - Ensure that your network drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with media sharing. 7. Check Xbox 360 Connectivity: - Verify that your Xbox 360 is connected to the same network as your PC and that there are no connectivity issues on the console. 8. Verify Network Configuration: - Ensure that both your PC and Xbox 360 are connected to the same network and that there are no network configuration issues causing the devices to be unable to communicate.
