An odd thing on my Win7 machine. I've lost my Delete popup menu selection on my USB drive for deleting files.

It's still there for my C: drive and I used to be able to delete files on my USB drive but now I can't.

I'm wondering what's happen to my system?

Thanks for any help.

It seems like the Delete popup menu selection for your USB drive is missing on your Windows 7 machine, while it still appears for your C: drive. This issue could be due to various reasons, such as settings changes, file system errors, or drive permissions. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Check Drive Permissions: - Make sure that you have the necessary permissions to delete files on the USB drive. Right-click on the USB drive, go to "Properties," and then to the "Security" tab to ensure you have the proper permissions. 2. To do this: - Right-click on the USB drive and select "Properties." - Go to the "Tools" tab and click on "Check now" under the Error-checking section. - Follow the instructions to scan and fix any errors. 3. Check Autoplay Settings: - Sometimes, changing Autoplay settings can affect how drives are recognized and interacted with. Check if the Autoplay settings for your USB drive are configured correctly. 4. Reconnect the USB Drive: - Try removing the USB drive, then reconnect it to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, a simple reconnection can resolve certain device recognition issues. 5. Check Registry Settings: - Changes in the registry settings can sometimes impact how the system interacts with external drives. However, be cautious when editing the registry as it can cause system instability if done incorrectly. 6. Update USB Drivers: - Ensure that your USB drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause issues with drive recognition and functionality. 7. Check for Malware: - Perform a full system scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware infections that could be affecting the functionality of your USB drive. Try these steps and see if any of them help to restore the Delete popup menu selection for your USB drive. If the issue persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
