Windows Vista No IE8 until next year

I have an interesting observation.
I used IE8 Beta in Vista and had a few problems. I was impatient with them and eventually uninstalled it.
In Windows 7 (which I am using as I rite) IE8 beta comes as default. There does not seem to be any way to install IE7. Oddly, I am having no problems whatsoever in Windows 7?

Hmm.... As you say IE8 seems to run fine under the 7 beta but under vista it can be a tad frustrating. So much so I'm thinking of giving Googles 'Chrome' another go...
