Installed Windows 7 yesterday and now my system does not detect my TV tuner. I believe I have an AverMedia A317 Mini Hybrid card. Anybody have an idea of what I can do.

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the driver and it still does not detect.

What do you mean when you say it does not detect the card? If you open Device Manager, does it show up there?

Maybe you need some software to be able to use the card.

It does not show up in Device Manager.

Correction. It does appear in Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers.

I tried the compatibility site and this was the result:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?s=AverMedia%20A317%20Mini%20Hybrid%20card.&type=Hardware

You should be able to follow the links through to a driver

bcarroll,

I'm not real technical. What do you mean try a different slot. How do I go about doing this?

Yes, it shows a driver

I purchased the laptop with the card installed.

It's a HP laptop. I've been to their site; however, they only have the 32 bit version of the driver available. Not 64.

Unfortunately the links 404 so I searched for the main site here:

Link Removed

bcarroll, I uninstalled driver and powered off computer. What next?

TV tuner appears under Device Manager; however, I still receive the same error that No TV Tuner Card is detected.

Sorry if you've already tried this but have you tried right-clicking on the device in the manager, choosing properties and then update driver.. You could then point it to where the driver is located?

I have. It appears the driver is not compatible with Windows 7.

go to hp.com, look up drivers for your laptop. if the tuner is meant for your laptop, you will see a driver available for download.

good luck.
