When typing, my cursor disappears. I then have to left click the page I'm on to get it back. I can type for about 20 seconds/100 characters, then I get a Windows beep warning. Any characters I'm typing stop showing up on the monitor. Same thing when I'm scrolling up or down a page: the cursor goes offline, and I have to re-click the page.
I've tried various diagnostic/anti-virus software programs, but to no avail. I've repeated searched online, but no luck.
My mouse settings are all in order, according to Windows 7 Control settings. I'm using Win 7 64 bit with 3.3Gb of Hz and ram. I had the same disappearing cursor problem one year ago, but it eventually went away. Why?

    ]Disable Cursor Shadow:
    • Try disabling the cursor shadow feature in Windows. This can be done in the Control Panel under Mouse settings.
    []Disable Enhance Pointer Precision:
    • In the Mouse settings, try disabling the "Enhance pointer precision" option and see if it helps.
    [
    ]Check for Malware:
    • Run a full system scan with an updated antivirus program to ensure that your system is free from malware that might be causing these issues.
    []System File Checker (SFC):
    • Run an SFC scan to check for and repair any corrupted system files that might be causing the problem.
    [
    ]Check for Windows Updates:
    • Make sure your Windows 7 system is up to date with the latest updates from Microsoft.
    []Hardware Check:
    • Check your mouse and keyboard on another system to ensure they are functioning correctly. Sometimes faulty hardware can cause odd behavior.
    [
    ]Temporary Workaround:
    • As a temporary workaround, you can try using an external mouse to see if the issue persists with a different input device.

Why Did the Issue Resolve Itself Previously?

The fact that the issue resolved itself a year ago could suggest that it might be related to a temporary software glitch or a conflict that was resolved by a system update or a change in software configuration. It's possible that a Windows update or a driver update fixed the issue unknowingly.

      Additional Recommendations:

      • If the problem persists, you may want to consider upgrading to a newer operating system as Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft, and security updates are no longer provided.
      • Creating a backup of your important data is always recommended before performing any major changes to your system.
Try these steps and see if they help in resolving the disappearing cursor issue on your Windows 7 system.
