I recently, like many people upgraded to Windows 7, it created a file called "windows.old" in which all my files from Vista were saved. I tried to access Office, specifically PowerPoint. It comes up with an error message "The Operating System is not presently configured to run theis application". Can anybody shine some light, I really need Office to work, I'm a student and have a few reports due in a couple of days. Thanks in Advance.

Additionally,,, you can't run any applications that are in the Windows.old folder.
you will need to reinstall them for the new OS to use them.
