Microsoft has started sending e-mails indicating they are now providing 25GB on SkyDrive and upgrading Office Live Workspace accounts to Windows Live SkyDrive. For those who have no idea what this technology is, Office Live Workspace allows for the sharing, collaboration, and storage of documents for owners of Microsoft Office 2010.

By moving everything to SkyDrive, Microsoft is looking to eliminate the double workspace situation that has existed since the released of Office Live Workspace. Some SkyDrive features also include basic remote desktop connections to multiple computers and features of the Office Live Workspare environment are very similar to those of other "online file synchronization services" like Dropbox, Onebox, etc.

After upgrading, you will received the notice:

Your documents are now available on Windows Live SkyDrive. Windows Live SkyDrive lets you store and share up to 25 GB of files. Plus, you can view and edit Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote documents with the new Office Web Apps.
