Windows 7 Pages will not open.

Running Windows 7 and IE9. On site such as Model Mayhem, I click to open a portfolio, forum page, or just about anything. The page does not open - the Microsoft "circle" keeps turning and turning. I cancel and try again, the page opens immediately. What going on? How do I fix this?

On Model Mayhem, try clicking the compatability button, it's the one that looks like a broken page in the URL / Address bar area and see if that helps.
