Windows 10 Parasitic DLL extension removal

I know, installing a windows 8.1 Explorer extension on windows 10 probably wasn't a good idea.
Still, after installing "StartIsBack+", my windows Explorer does not function without it. Upon installing, the extension creates a DLL and some resource files. When I delete the DLL, my windows Explorer simply doesn't work. I tried disabling the process through Autorun, unregistering the DLL with regsvr32, Explorer continued to run the DLL like its lifeline.
How can an external DLL be so evil? How can it infect my Explorer like drugs, and make it not work without it? Please help, I'm sick of restarting countless of times trying to remove it.

Hi

You could try installing and running Revo Uninstaller and see if it will get rid of Start 8 completely.
If you have already uninstalled it you will have to reinstall it and remove it using Revo.

If no one else has any other ideas, (I don't) maybe it's time to try and refresh your Windows 10 installation.

Just type Refresh in the search window and it will take you there.
You will have to reinstall any software that you have installed in Windows 10 after doing this but it will solve your .dll problem and it won't remove your files.

It would be a good idea to make a system image file when you get things working again.
I use EaseUS TODO backup and recovery.

It's extremely easy to use, makes it's own recovery DVD that you can use if your computer won't boot, and it's free.
I've made about 20 backups since I started using Windows 10 and restored 7 times when I messed things up.

It only takes me about 20 minutes to have everything back up and running again.
