Hi, when I turned my pc off last night it did a windows update. Now this morning it won’t start at all. I press the power button and nothing happens. Other plugged in items are working. I’ve looked inside and it looks fine. I’ve tried switching plugs and using another power supply cable from another working pc but nothing. It is using windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

What you are saying, is the computer will not power up at all? No post on the screen before trying to start the operating system?

If this is true, try replacing the power supply unit. You may have a failed power supply. The power supply is the box inside of the cabinet that the AC cord is plugged in to. I have had to replace power supplies on computers mostly more than 5 to 7 years old.

Hmm i see, I've only had the pc for 2 years and never had this issue before. i guess I'll have to pay someone to fix it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
