Windows 7 Problem in ejecting my sony mp3 player from my laptop

Hi all !!
I am facing problem in ejecting my sony mp3 player from my laptop.
n it does not show as USB drive when I connect the player on USB ports. But it shows the sony player icon . right click on it does not show eject option.
Any other USB device (like external HDD, pendrive etc) does not show this problem and can easily eject it.
And also when I connect the same player to windows XP system, it shows as USB drive and no problem in ejecting it.
Pls help, as I dont want to damage my player by plucking it out without ejecting it..

I should imagine that your missing a driver perhaps? Why not check the Sony site for your model and see if it has any USB drivers for 7/vista?
