    Suggestions:
    1. XPS Viewer: As per the error message, try viewing the protected XPS documents in the XPS Viewer as suggested. This built-in application in Windows might be able to handle the protected content better.
    2. Compatibility Mode: Internet Explorer in Windows 7 has compatibility mode settings. Ensure that it is not causing any conflicts with the display of protected XPS documents. You can adjust the compatibility settings to see if it resolves the issue.
    3. Security Settings: Check the security settings in Internet Explorer. Sometimes, high-security settings can prevent the correct display of protected content. Lower the security settings temporarily to test if that makes a difference.
    4. Update Internet Explorer: Ensure that Internet Explorer is up to date. Installing the latest updates might include fixes for compatibility and security-related issues.
    5. File Association: Verify that XPS documents are associated correctly with the XPS Viewer application. This ensures that when you try to open XPS files, they are opened in the appropriate viewer.
    6. Debugging: Utilize the developer tools in Internet Explorer to debug any potential scripting or rendering issues that might be causing the problem with displaying protected XPS documents.
    7. Testing Environment: Testing the website in different browsers can help pinpoint if the issue is specific to Internet Explorer on Windows 7 or if it manifests across multiple browsers. Try these steps, and if the issue persists, provide more details for further assistance.
