Hi,
I have just installed Windows 7 and cannot preview the items in the taskbar as a result of the Aero tool not working. When I try to troubleshoot this i get the following error message -
"The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver."

I don't really understand, can someone please help me with this?

It seems like you are encountering an issue with Aero not working on Windows 7 due to an error related to the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Error Message Explanation: - The error message you received indicates that your current video card may support Aero, but it requires a driver that complies with the WDDM standard. - This error suggests that the driver currently installed for your video card may not be WDDM-compatible, which is why Aero is not working. 3. Solution: - To resolve this issue, you will need to update your graphics driver to a version that is compatible with WDDM. - Here's how you can update the driver: - Contact the Manufacturer: Reach out to the manufacturer of your computer or video card to obtain the latest WDDM-compatible driver for your specific hardware. - Driver Installation: Once you have the updated driver, install it following the manufacturer's instructions. 4. Verification: - After installing the new driver, restart your computer. - Go to the Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization, and try to enable Aero from there. - If Aero is successfully enabled, you should now be able to preview items in the taskbar with the Aero effects. By updating the graphics driver to a WDDM-compatible version, you should be able to resolve the issue and restore the Aero functionality on Windows 7. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!
