hi, just a few days ago when i tried to start up my other computer i got this error.
no boot file name received. so i went into my BIOS and disabled boot from network and made sure my HDD was at the top of my boot priority list. then i got this, ''no boot device found, please insert boot CD and press any key''.

ive made no changes to my computer before this happened.

so can anyone help me or is my HD just dead?

What OS is 7 or Vista make sure your CD drive is first boot device , boot from CD with your systems OS and press any key to boot from CD select language and follow instructions from there to run repair
