Windows 7 Recovering old outlook emails?

Im new to W7, installed it yesterday.

As I was sick and tired of my computer and how slow it has been recently I decided to do a completely fresh install.

Halfway through I realise that I didnt back up my emails in my outlook! Is there any way these can be retrieved from windows.old?

maybe. dont know the procedure, but outlook saves old emails in .pst files. They are located somewhere in "C:\*Documents and Settings\username\*Application Data\*Microsoft\*Outlook\". (you might need to turn on hidden files: go start and type folder, then look in folder options - view tab i think).
