I am trying to backup my Documents and Settings folder with Vista Home Premium. However, I keep getting the error message that "access is denied" How do I get this to work?

Have you tried right-clicking and choosing 'run as administrator'?

Thanks Celestra and just to add, have you tried using a different USB port? If your using ones at the front of the pc try connecting to the ports at the back.

P.S.--- Something funny about Vista Home Premium, Read does not take encryption from external hard drive. You should check about that!!!! :)
