Windows 7 RSS Feeds not auto-refreshing

I know that this is a known issue with W7, as stated in the release notes. However, even after following the 'fix' given in the notes, my feeds are still not auto-refreshing.

Has anyone else experienced this, and, if so, is there any further advice?

Check your firewall settings.

firewall isn't an issue here.
make sure you applied the fix correctly. if it's still not working just get some rss reader until it is fixed ... there are LOTS of rss readers out there
