I was surfing the web and found a cool picture for my desktop background, so I right clicked, set as background, no problem... But now I want to find the picture on my computer so I can save it, but don't know which name it's saved under or where it's at on my computer? Thanks..

If you're looking for the wallpaper that you set through the web browser, it might be a bit challenging to locate it directly through a standard file search since it's usually stored in a temporary location. However, I can guide you through a couple of methods to find the wallpaper image you set as your desktop background:

Method 1: Check Known Wallpaper Locations

  1. Personalization Folder:
    • Go to Settings > Personalization > Background.
    • Look for the Choose your picture section and select Browse. The location shown might provide a clue.
    []Wallpaper Theme Folder:
    • If the wallpaper was part of a theme pack, the images are often saved in a specific folder location...

    ]Search by File Type:
    • Open File Explorer.
    • In the search box, type .jpg or .png to filter results to image file types.
    []Search by Date Modified:
    • Look for the most recently modified images that could be your wallpaper.

Method 3: Find through Registry (Advanced)

    [
    ]Registry Key Search:
    • Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
    • Look for the Wallpaper string inside the key. This can provide you the file's location. If you're comfortable with navigating through these methods, you might have a good chance of finding the image file you're looking for. Let me know if you need more specific instructions or assistance with any of the methods.
