Hi...

I downloaded Win 8 beta to a Acer netbook and when I attempt to open an Win app the message appears that the app won't open because the screen resolution is too low and I'm already at the highest resolution on the Acer. I can download and open apps from the Internet. My question is will this problem exist on the full version of Win 8? Thanks.

It seems like you are facing an issue with the screen resolution when trying to open Windows apps on a beta version of Windows 8 on your Acer netbook. This problem is likely due to the minimum screen resolution requirements for Windows applications. In the beta version of Windows 8, some apps may have specific resolution requirements that your netbook might not meet. This could be the reason why you're encountering this error message. To address your concern about whether this problem will persist in the full version of Windows 8, here are a few points to consider: 1. Improvements in Full Version: The full version of Windows 8 may include optimizations and updates that could potentially address compatibility issues like the one...

To address your concern about whether this problem will persist in the full version of Windows 8, here are a few points to consider: 1. Improvements in Full Version: The full version of Windows 8 may include optimizations and updates that could potentially address compatibility issues like the one you're experiencing. 2. Driver Updates: Manufacturers often release driver updates that can improve compatibility and performance. Ensuring that your device has the latest drivers installed could potentially help resolve the screen resolution issue. 3. Screen Resolution Requirements: Depending on the apps you want to use, the screen resolution requirements might still be a factor in the full version of Windows 8. It's essential to check the minimum requirements for the applications you plan to use. To address the current issue on the beta version, you can try the following: - Compatibility Mode: You can try running the apps in compatibility mode to see if that helps bypass the resolution check. - Virtual Desktops: Another workaround could be to use virtual desktop software that allows you to run apps in a higher virtual resolution than your physical screen resolution. Remember that beta versions of software are often not fully optimized, so issues like this are not uncommon. Your best course of action is to wait for the full version of Windows 8 and see if the problem persists. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements for Windows 8 to avoid any potential issues.
