Windows 7 Screen Resolution Issue: Left Side of Monitor Cut Off on Windows 7 64-bit

Hi all, im using

W7 64bit with a screen resolution of 1920x1080.
The problem im having is that i keep clicking out of screen and thats due to an extra part of my screen being hidden at
the left side of my monitor. I'll show a screen shot to help you guys understand better.
This problem also shows up obviously when i use paint to take a s/s. Normally that left side is hidden and cant be seen from my monitor.

What happens if you lower the resolution to, say, 1280 x 1024. ?

i already did. but wadever resolution i put up, that ''left side of the screen still exists''

What size is you monitor?

Is it the Wide, Wide screen, 1920 by 1080 or 1920 by 1200 like my 24" Dell Ultra-sharp?

It seems like you may not be choosing the correct aspect ratio for it.
