Windows 7 SCSI 64 bit suggestions needed

I am looking for a SCSI PCI adapter card that has 64 bit drivers. No problem, right? However, it needs to have an external connector for a 50 pin SCSI-1 cable. Not so easy now, eh?

I have a Nikon Coolscan 3 slide scanner and don't want to (i.e.: can't afford) a newer model.

I recently upgraded to Win7 64 bit and love it but the card from my XP days is an Adaptec AHA-2940- no 64 bit drivers. I have a Adaptec 39160 (not installed), which has the drivers but has a 68 pin VHDCI slot only.

My processor doesn't handle the XP emulator.

If there are no such cards available, will a 50 pin SCSI-1 to 68 pin VHDCI work (if there is such a thing)?
