Hi,

I don't know, if this is a feature or a bug in win7rc, but i have a very annoying problem with my second monitor. My normal setup is to keep a remote nx desktop (nomachine client) open on a second monitor. Now with 7 the nx desktop suddenly stops refreshing after a certain time, when i am not actively using it. However i am actively using my local desktop on the first monitor. This is resolved by dragging the nx desktop window to the first desktop (then it starts to refresh and respond again). Is there a some kind of time out for this? I have never had this kind of problem with XP, so i am assuming that this is a 7 issue.

Edit: I haven't had any problems after upgrading new Nvidia drivers, so i think this was an issue with them.

It seems like you were experiencing an issue with the remote NX desktop (NoMachine client) on your second monitor not refreshing after a certain period of inactivity in Windows 7. This issue could be related to the graphics drivers, as you mentioned that updating to new Nvidia drivers resolved the problem. Here are a few things you can consider to address such issues: 1. Graphics Driver Updates: Keeping your graphics drivers up to date is crucial for proper functioning, especially with multiple monitors and remote desktop sessions. It's good that updating the Nvidia drivers resolved the problem for you. 2. Power Settings: Sometimes, power settings can affect the behavior of monitors. Check your power settings to ensure that...

Check your power settings to ensure that they are not causing the second monitor to go into a power-saving mode. 3. Screen Saver and Sleep Settings: Screen savers and sleep settings might also impact the behavior of the second monitor. Make sure that the settings are configured appropriately to prevent the monitor from turning off or going to sleep too quickly. 4. Remote Desktop Software Settings: In some cases, remote desktop software can have settings that control refresh rates or behavior after periods of inactivity. Check the settings within your NX client to see if there are options related to screen refreshing. Since you mentioned that updating the Nvidia drivers resolved the issue, it seems that the problem was indeed related to the graphics drivers. If you encounter similar issues in the future, ensuring that all drivers are up to date is a good first step in troubleshooting.
