I have searched all over and cannot find the answer to my specific problem, i see many answers on how to network the 2 machines but not the drive sharing problem, so any help would be great...
the problem i am having is i have a windows 7 machine and 2 XP Machines, i have set up all the right settings for the network and i can access the shared folders on the windows 7 pc, BUT i set up my D drive on the windows 7 PC to be shared and the Xp systems cannot access the shared drive.
All network setting are correct
Same user account on all machines
shared the windows 7 drive and set the permissons to full for everyone
Changed the settings in the security tab on the drive.
I am just at a loss as i need to access the D drive on the windows 7 machine and the XP's get the usual "you might not have permission to use this resourse...."
