Hi
Well my original build was legit, but I didn't upgrade it to Windows 10.
I did a clean install to a dual boot setup with Windows 8 so it was on another hard drive.
When I wanted to partition that drive to make the Windows 8 drive smaller it screwed it up and had to format it to make it bootable again.
So now I have an empty 250 Gig drive that I want to install the final Windows 10 on.
I'd like to do it without reinstalling Windows 8 but if I have to, I have to.
What I'd like to see is the option to do a clean install from my Windows 8 serial number, or by putting in my Windows 8 DVD for confirmation along with my serial number.
I do have both a Windows 8 DVD and a Flash Drive to restore it to the way it was when I got it.
I suppose that I could clone the drive to the other hard drive but I'd still have to stay in the Insider program, unless I upgrade.
The thing is that it sounds like everyone is going to be in the insider program in a way.
If everyone is forced to do all the upgrades, drivers and all, with no option to say no, then it may not be much different then being on the slow ring.
Maybe I should just stay in the program and on the slow ring.
I'll consider just reinstalling Windows 8 on the other drive, I don't know if that will work to dual boot as it did when I added Windows 10 to Windows 8?
I've asked this question a few times but never really gotten an answer.
