Anybody else having problems with this? It says that it it completed installing... but it also has done it about 20 times. It never seems to want to stop updating this one. Each time I install the update, windows update says it is ready to install it again. and again... and again... and again.

What's wrong?

It sounds like you might be experiencing an issue where Windows Update keeps reinstalling the same update repeatedly. This can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve this issue: 1. Check Update History: First, check the update history to see if the same update is listed multiple times as failed or installed. This will give you more information about which update is causing the problem. 2. Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify and fix common issues with Windows Update. Here's how you can run it: - Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. - Find Windows Update under "Get up and running" and click on...

Reset Windows Update Components: Sometimes, resetting the Windows Update components can resolve update-related issues. You would need to stop the Windows Update service, rename the SoftwareDistribution folder, and restart the service. 4. Manually Install the Update: If the update keeps failing through Windows Update, you can try downloading and installing the update manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog. 5. Check Disk Space: Ensure that your system has enough disk space to accommodate the update installation. 6. Check for Errors in Event Viewer: You can check the Event Viewer for any error messages related to the update installation. This may provide more insight into what's causing the repeated installations. 7. Check for Pending Updates: Sometimes, pending updates can interfere with the installation of new updates. Make sure all previous updates have completed before installing new ones. If you've tried these steps and are still facing the issue, you may need to delve deeper into the specific update that is causing the problem. It's also advisable to keep your system updated with the latest quality and security updates to ensure the best performance and security for your system.
