I found this cool little program that renames your start bottom,
Unfortunately it only works on xp and I happen to have win 7,
If anyone knows how to remane the start bottom in win 7,
i'd really love to be able to do this, just for fun :).

Thanks in advance,

It's fun to customize your Windows experience with little tweaks like renaming the Start button! While the program you found might be tailored for Windows XP, there are still ways to achieve a similar effect on Windows 7, although it requires a bit more manual work. Here's a general guide on how you can rename the Start button in Windows 7:

    ]Modify Button Text:
    • Locate the explorer.exe file (usually in C:\Windows) and make a copy of it.
    • Rename the copied file to explorer_backup.exe (or any name you prefer).
    • Use a resource editor (like Resource Hacker) to modify the text. Look for the String Table resource with ID 37. You can edit the start button text in this section.
    • Save your changes.
    []Replace the Original File:
    • Restart your computer in Safe Mode.
    • Replace the original explorer.exe file with your modified one.
    [
    ]Restart Windows Explorer:
    • After replacing the file, you need to restart the Windows Explorer process to see the changes. You can do this by ending the explorer.exe process in Task Manager and then starting it again.
  2. Verify the Changes:
    • Check if the Start button text has been successfully changed.

      Notes:

      • Replacing system files like explorer.exe can be risky. Ensure you have backups and proceed with caution.
      • Always create a System Restore Point before making system changes.
This method involves some advanced steps, so make sure you are comfortable with these procedures. Have fun customizing your Windows 7 experience! If you need more detailed instructions or assistance, feel free to ask.
