Hello Acky,

I understand that you're facing issues with installing Java on your Windows 7 Build 7000 system. The error code 25099 you encountered during the installation process is usually related to compatibility problems or issues with existing Java installations. Let's try to troubleshoot this step by step:

1. Uninstall Previous Java Versions:
- Before attempting to reinstall Java, it's essential to make sure that any previous Java installations are completely removed. Sometimes, remnants of old installations can cause conflicts.

2. Clean Installation:
- Perform a clean installation of Java. This involves:
- Deleting all temporary files.
- Disabling any security software temporarily during the installation process.
- Running the Java installer as an administrator.

3. Compatibility Mode:
- Since you mentioned trying compatibility mode, let's avoid that for now and install Java without any compatibility settings.

4. Check System Requirements:
- Verify that your Windows 7 Build 7000 system meets the necessary requirements for the Java version you are trying to install.

5. Update Windows:
- Ensure that your Windows system is up to date with all the latest updates and patches.

6. Install Java in Safe Mode:
- Try to install Java in Safe Mode to rule out any third-party software conflicts.

7. Registry Cleanup:
- After uninstalling Java, check the registry for any leftover Java keys and remove them (be cautious when editing the registry).

8. Alternative Installation Methods:
- Consider using the offline installer for Java. Sometimes, the offline installer can bypass certain installation issues.

Let's start by uninstalling any existing Java installations on your system. Once that is done, we can proceed with a clean installation of Java. Let me know if you encounter any issues during the uninstallation process, and we can troubleshoot further from there.
