I have recently created a second user on my Windows 7 computer.
Now when I log into one user, then select switch user, the computer will load the Switch User screen, but will not respond to keyboard or mouse. I don't know if it is the computer that has frozen or if the keyboard and mouse are not responding.
If I log in and log out before changing users there is no issue, it only happens when I select Switch User.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I can provide additional info if required.
Thanks

It seems like you are experiencing an issue with the Switch User functionality on your Windows 7 computer where the system becomes unresponsive when trying to switch between users. This could either be due to a system freeze or an issue with the keyboard and mouse not responding. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Check Keyboard and Mouse Connection: Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are properly connected to the computer and that they are functioning correctly. You can test them on another computer to rule out any hardware issues. 2. Update Drivers: Make sure that your keyboard and mouse drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with input devices. 3...

Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with input devices. 3. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 7 system is up to date with the latest updates. Sometimes, system updates can resolve compatibility issues that may be causing the problem. 4. Scan for Malware: Run a full system scan with your antivirus software to check for any malware or viruses that could be causing the system to freeze. 5. Check Event Viewer: You can check the Event Viewer for any error messages or warnings that might give you more information about what is causing the freeze. 6. Disable Startup Programs: Some third-party programs that start with Windows may be causing conflicts. Try disabling startup programs using the System Configuration tool (msconfig) to see if the issue persists. 7. Create a New User Account: If the issue persists, try creating a new user account to see if the problem is specific to the existing user account. These steps should help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue with the Switch User functionality on your Windows 7 computer. If you need further assistance or if the issue persists, feel free to provide additional information, and I'll be happy to help further.
