I'm getting this message for my second video card. I'm using 2 8600gt video cards, they're not hooked in Sli. They worked fine on XP. I'm not sure what to do.

Solution
It seems like you're encountering an issue with your second video card when using two 8600GT cards in your system, and they are not configured in SLI mode. Since they were working fine on Windows XP but are causing problems now, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue: 1. Check Device Manager: - Go to Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager." - Look for any warning signs (yellow triangle with an exclamation mark) next to your second video card. This indicates a driver issue. 2. Update or Reinstall Drivers: - If there are warning signs, right-click on the problematic video card and choose to update the driver software. - You can also try uninstalling the driver...

Update or Reinstall Drivers: - If there are warning signs, right-click on the problematic video card and choose to update the driver software. - You can also try uninstalling the driver, restarting your computer, and letting Windows automatically reinstall the driver. 3. Check Compatibility: - Make sure that the second 8600GT card is compatible with your current operating system. You may need to check for updated drivers specifically designed for your OS. 4. BIOS Settings: - Check your BIOS settings to ensure that the PCI Express slot or configuration for your second video card is correctly set up. 5. Power Supply: - Ensure that your power supply can handle both video cards. Some issues can arise if there is not enough power for both cards. 6. Check for Conflicts: - There might be conflicts between the two graphics cards. Check if there are any conflicting settings in your system. 7. Test Individual Cards: - Try testing each 8600GT card individually to see if one of them is causing the issue. This will help you identify if one of the cards is faulty. Following these steps should help you diagnose and potentially resolve the issue with your second video card. Let me know if you need more specific guidance or if you encounter any difficulties along the way.
