I am trying to copy names and addresses from a web page to copy them in a Word doc, (Windows 7). All i get is a circle rotating on the blank doc. I click the 'W' font and a box appears. It asks if I want to close the programme. I click yes and a bar appears saying it is searching for faults then closes.
Any ideas pse?

It's also possible that there is a lot of CSS/JS etc behind the scenes you are also copying. Copying from web pages will always grab any code / formatting with it.

You can copy the text into a text file and it won't keep any of the formatting, then copy and paste to the word doc.

As livix says?

If I want to perform that function, I outline the item on the web page, right click and select "Copy". Go to the Word doc, right click and paste.

Have you tried to open the web page with a different web browser?
what web browser did you use when you tried to copy?

And yet another:

I have found that, occasionally, since a Windows update of a while ago, that the copy paste is erratic. On another day, it works 100%

What does work though, is to outline the subject and drag it, with the LEFT mouse button, to where I want it - no paste required.
