I'm having issues burning my movies to DVD's. I have used several different kinds of burning software, I've used different disks, I've tried different movies and different movie formats. All have the same problem, once encoding is done and begins to burn, it stops and finishes and doesn't give me any type of error afterwards so I have no way of know where the issue is coming from, keep in mind I was able to burn on this computer with no problems up until about a month ago.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Sony Vaio S Series
Intel Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHZ, 6.0GB RAM
The disk drive is a blu-ray player/burner

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Check for Driver Updates: - Verify if there are any updates available for the drivers associated with your Blu-ray drive. Updated drivers can improve compatibility and performance. 3. Check Disk Integrity: - Make sure that the DVDs you are using are not damaged or scratched. Try using high-quality DVDs from a reputable brand to rule out any disk-related issues. 4. Lower Burning Speed: - Sometimes burning at lower speeds can improve the success rate of burning operations. Try reducing the burning speed in the software settings before initiating the burning process. 5. Clean Your Drive: - Dust and debris on the drive's lens can cause burning issues. Consider cleaning the Blu-ray drive using a lens cleaning kit to ensure optimal performance. 6. System Restore: - If the issue started occurring about a month ago, consider performing a system restore to a point before the problem began. This can help revert any system changes that might have caused the burning problem. 7. Check Event Viewer: - You can also check the Event Viewer in Windows to look for any error messages related to the burning process. Look for any relevant error codes that might give clues about the issue. 8. Test with Different Media: - Try burning a different type of data, not just movies, to see if the issue is specific to movie formats or if it occurs with any type of data. 9. Hardware Check: - Ensure that there are no hardware malfunctions with your Blu-ray drive. You can run hardware diagnostics to check for any issues. If after following these steps, you're still experiencing issues, it might be beneficial to consult with a professional technician for a more in-depth analysis of your system and burning hardware. Feel free to try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance!
