I have Windows 7 Ultimate and it allows you to make a folder for a bootable virtual HD instead of partitioning. You are running on actual hardware not in a virtual machine and dual booting and Windows 7 is still intact. Can windows 10 do this?

You can still make/ attach the Vhd... how well WX will run on it is anyones guess.
An image from 'Virtual Hard Drive'. Disk Management window showing partitions and the 'Create VHD' option under the Action menu.
