Windows Vista Vista operating system disk

i need to reboot our computer as it will not start, but I do not have the original vista disk. Can I use another vista disk, but use the product key that is on the bottom of the computer

Have you tried using the 'repair' function off the spare disk? It may save you having to go through a re-install..
