Windows 7 What antivirus is better?

They all use very much the same sources for information on new viruses. But according to how you customise, most seem to miss a couple here and there. The benchmarks which pop up frequently, on the web, show constantly varying results in the league table, but Nod is consistently good. I use Avast, which also has a free edition.

I have been using Cyberdefender (the paid) version on my Win XP machine, and I am very happy with it. The free version is more a scanner, but the paid version has a lot of useful features like a 24/7 help line.

DL has 4 stars for it:

CyberDefender AntiSpyware - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

How it works on Vista vs. XP, I don't know but I will get it for my new Vista laptop.

I also had Panda anti-virus, which was good, but Cyberdefender is better for me.

JMHO

I got the free Cyberdefender anti-virus program first off their website (www.cyberdefender.com) and it found a lot of stuff on my system then got rid of the spyware and Trojans. I guess I should have gotten the paid version, but since the free scanner didn’t find any viruses I didn’t buy the upgrade. Some of the software that I had installed on my system I couldn’t get completely un-installed. As a test I un-installed Cyberdefender, and found that it was completely removed, it left behind no lingering pops or other crap.

I re-installed Cyberdefender and ran it once a month or any time I got strange pop ups, just check for viruses, spyware or other stuff. I ended up coming past a virus that came along which Cyberdefender caught, so I bought the upgrade to get rid of the virus. I later ran Cyberdefender after the upgrade and it could not detect the virus. Since then, no problems. This is my experience with Cyberdefender - really good software and the 24/7 computer help is great. I also found Cybderdefenders how to remove spyware video on YouTube, which shows their really good interface:

I'm using AVG anti virus 8.0 and love it.

2 anti virus? lol. Let me guess, visiting a lot of porn sites? Well, one anti virus will be fine. Adding another will only cause slow downs and conflicts.

LOL The date is not the issue it's just that I post the "beating the dead horse" when I see someone posting on a issue that has been discussed to death on EVERY forum.
Nothing personal I just think the the smiley is funny :D
