CNET Download.com should be all you ever need.

Though I actually second cross that thought.
I use Link Removed - Invalid URL for everything. Has dev builds, Mac, linux, game downloads and more..

Can't give you a huge list tough

The Windows Club has a lot of free applications, many are small tweaks, customizations, etc.
